Terms

Isocratic Ownership-Control Equilibrium documented ioce:IOCE
The public site gives this expansion of 'IOCE' but no separate definition of IOCE as a framework. The isocracy page describes 'The IOCE and OCDI work' as an analytic apparatus (see analyticApparatusFor).
Source: IOCE Atlas web application (map UI text)
IOCE Atlas documented ioce:IOCEAtlas
IOCE Atlas is a research tool that tracks the gap between who owns organisations and who actually controls them — across companies, governments, and institutions in the Baltic region and beyond.

Isocracy documented ioce:Isocracy
Isocracy is a system of governance in which power is distributed as evenly, transparently, and accountably as possible across the polity, so that public authority remains balanced, corrigible, and ordered toward truth, justice, ecological stewardship, and the common good.
Isocracy is the constitutional principle that governance becomes legitimate only when power — meaning both formal authority and actual operative control — is distributed so widely, transparently, and corrigibly that no actor, class, or institution can maintain durable domination over the rest of the polity. (Compact Definition)
Isocracy is rule under conditions where power remains sufficiently shared, visible, balanced, and corrigible that no actor can justly convert position, wealth, secrecy, or control into lasting domination. (Philosophical Formula)
It is framed more broadly as a constitutional order of equalized civic power, where no person, office, class, faction, institution, or economic bloc is allowed to accumulate durable domination over the rest. (Framing)
The source gives four formulations (primary, compact, philosophical, framing). All are preserved; none is privileged beyond the page's own label 'Primary definition'. 'requirements' are the page's 'Working Definition' list, verbatim.
Source: Isocracy: The Model
Ownership documented ioce:Ownership
Rightful title, stake, or claim.
Ownership means how much of the thing is legally theirs. (OCDI page)
Recorded difference: the isocracy page says 'rightful' title, stake or claim; the OCDI page says 'legally theirs'. Both are kept; v0.1 does not reconcile them.
Source: Isocracy: The Model
Ownership share (Oᵢ) documented ioce:OwnershipShare
The ownership share of actor i — how much of the asset, resource, or institution that actor owns.
Source: The Rudiments of OCDI
Control documented ioce:Control
Actual operative influence.
Control means how much power that actor actually has over decisions. (OCDI page)
Source: Isocracy: The Model
Control share (Cᵢ) documented ioce:ControlShare
The control share of actor i — how much decision-making power that actor has.
Source: The Rudiments of OCDI
Isocratic Equilibrium documented ioce:IsocraticEquilibrium
A condition in which ownership and control remain appropriately aligned within constitutional and ethical bounds.
Source: Isocracy: The Model
Non-Isocratic Drift documented ioce:NonIsocraticDrift
The condition in which control concentrates without legitimate grounding.
Source: Isocracy: The Model
Actor documented ioce:Actor
One specific actor in the system — a person, company, board, government office, or group of citizens.
The OCDI formula image calls the same thing 'agent i'.
Source: The Rudiments of OCDI
Ownership-control divergence (per actor) inferred ioce:OwnershipControlDivergence
Formula: |Cᵢ/ΣC − Oᵢ/ΣO|
INFERRED. The OCDI page describes a per-actor 'mismatch' as a step of the formula but does not name or define a per-actor divergence as a concept. The name is taken from the index's own name.
Source: The Rudiments of OCDI
Ownership-Control Divergence Index documented ioce:OCDI
The Ownership-Control Divergence Index measures how far a system is from a fair balance between ownership and control. It compares how much of something each actor owns with how much real decision-making power that actor has.
Formula: OCDI = Σ_{i=1}^{n} | Cᵢ/ΣC − Oᵢ/ΣO |
Range: INFERRED, recorded and not resolved: as published (no ½ factor), OCDI ranges over [0, 2]. The page's own Example 1 (two actors, 50/50 ownership, 90/10 control) totals 0.80, which is consistent with this. OCDI-Gov applies ½ and ranges over [0, 1]. v0.1 records the difference and does not normalise either measure.
Recorded limitation, quoted from the source: 'Diagnostic tool, not complete theory.'
Source: The Rudiments of OCDI
OCDI-Gov documented ioce:OCDIGov
OCDI-Gov answers: how far does the money that puts a person in office depart from the people who are entitled to put them there?
Formula: OCDI-Gov = ½ Σ_z | c_z − o_z | over geographic units z
Range: Documented range [0, 1] (total-variation distance). Compare OCDI, whose published form has no ½ factor.
The source states the substitution is deliberate: 'Nobody owns a legislature.' Computed over geographic units (state in v1.1, congressional district planned for v1.2), not individuals.

Authorisation (OCDI-Gov ownership substitute) documented ioce:Authorisation

Source: Voting Influence Corruption: Methodology & OCDI-Gov

Used for private/oligarch entities in place of the full OCDI.
Source: Definitions, Methodology & Datasets
Structural heuristic (OCDI proxy) documented ioce:StructuralHeuristic
OCDI is assigned by a documented structural heuristic: each entity's publicly-known ownership/control class maps to an OCDI proxy.
The numeric proxy value for each class is not published on the public site (provenance unknown for the mapping table).
